LIBRARY SERVICES:

Obtain a Library Card--Library cards are free to all residents of Schuylkill County.  New residents must have proof of residency and valid ID.  Anyone possessing a library card from another library participating in the Statewide Library Card program can receive an Orwigsburg Library card free of charge.  Children ages 10 and up must have a parent or guardian co-sign the application. 

You need to present your library card to check out and renew materials. 

Loan Period--All library materials are two-week loans, except DVD's which are 7-day loans. 

Fines and Fees- $1.00 a day for DVD's

    $.50 a day for NEW Items

    $.10 a day for all other materials

Wireless: Bring in your laptop and enjoy the convenience of our wireless internet service.  Please sign in at desk at each visit for WiFi service.

Public Access Computers:  6 computers are available for public use.  You must have a library card and be in good standing to use the computers.  Please be courteous to our rules.  Printouts (for each printed side) are 25 cents for black and 50 cents for small color and $1.00 for full page color.  The Library's Public Access Computers have multiple programs available for usage but are also monitored with Cybersitter Software.  BE AWARE:  There is to be no downloading directly to the computers.  Please ask for assistance when needed.

Copy Machine:  The photocopy machine is available for public use.  Copies are 25 cents per page.

Fax Machine:  Fax service is available at $1.00 per page.

Scanning Services:  $1.00 per page.

Mobile Printing: We can help you print from your phone via email. Come to the front desk and ask for a staff member. 

Our Collection Includes:

Hardback, Paperback and Large Type Print:  Fiction and non-fiction books.  Available to the public to borrow on a two-week loan period.

Books on CD (Audio Books):   Adult and Juvenile selections.  Available for two weeks.

DVDs:   Available for a loan period of seven days. Patrons may borrow 3 DVDs at a time. DVDs must be borrowed on an adult card only.

Periodicals:  Available for two-week loan. 

E-books:  Available with ACTIVE Library card.

Hotspots: Available for one-week loan with ACTIVE Library card.
